I asked Mackenzy to go to her bedroom and pick out something to wear. She has been picking out her own clothes lately. She came back to the living room sporting this new outfit, her brother's onesie.

She thought she was pretty cute.
Caleb's Accident

We had scary event occur this last Saturday night. Caleb went deer hunting for the weekend with a friend. His friend was target shooting when several fragments of the bullet ricocheted and hit Caleb in several places. He was hit on the very top of his head, underneath his arm, and his eyebrow. Luckily, no bullets were found in his head, just a big hole where he recieved 2 stitches.
A fragment of a bullet was found in his eyebrow, a very small piece that caused little damage. Below you see a picture of the place underneath his arm where another fragment was found. This piece was about the size of a pea. It had grazed his skin leaving a minor cut. But within a day, we saw this bruise form. It looks like it hurts!
Caleb is okay and we are thankful that his injuries weren't any worse.

Mackenzy carved her first pumpkin lastnight.

First, we drew the face on. She liked this part.

Then, we opened it up. Caleb tried to get her to lick it. She wasn't interested.
Then we started to get the seeds out.

She would only stick the knife in, she didn't like how the stringy stuff felt on her fingers. She kept saying "ducky" which means "yucky."

The face she made when Caleb threw some seeds on her arm.

You can see how much she didn't enjoy it in this video.

The Petting Zoo
She had fun pretending to feed the animals. She loved them all, except the pig who snorted everytime you got too close :)

She put these sunglasses on when we left the house, they never came off!

And the highlight of her day was this succer, peaches and cream. It entertained her all the way home.
